NMRiH2 Objective and Survival Maps Guide

Every map asks the squad to balance route knowledge against the ability to adapt. Start with the guide for your deployment, then adjust when the objective, loot, or team condition changes.

Objective vs Survival at a glance

Choose your match plan. Objective and Survival require different team decisions before the squad moves; neither panel is a fixed-route recommendation.

Objective

  1. DeployRegroup, identify the CRC task, and assign its carrier or interactor.
  2. Advance the objectiveProtect the active player and reset supplies after loud encounters.
  3. ExtractLeave after the task chain, or end optional detours when the route collapses.

Survival

  1. Prepare the speakerChoose lanes, rotation space, supplies, and defensive options.
  2. Defend three wavesUse each post-wave reset to cover the team’s next weak point.
  3. Take the helicopterAfter the third wave, extract together; early extraction opens after two failed waves.

Armageddon 1.0 map additions

Armageddon added Raven Rock as an Objective map and introduced the Survival mode maps Flooded, Lighthouse, and Night of the Living Dead. Survival challenges Responders to defend speakers across three waves; after a successful third wave, a helicopter extracts the team. Official 1.0 notes

Use every map guide the same way

  1. Learn the opening objective and the likely regroup point.
  2. Mark a fallback route before the team is under pressure.
  3. Decide who is carrying essential supplies.
  4. Extract when the run has achieved its goal; do not turn success into a risky detour.

Choose the correct plan before deploying

Mode First decision Mid-match reset Exit condition
Objective Identify the current CRC task and its carrier/interactor. Recount players and supplies after every loud objective beat. Use final extraction after the task chain; early extract if the route collapses.
Survival Select one speaker defense, cover lanes, and keep a rotation path open. Spend the post-wave supply drop on the weak point before moving on. Hold three waves for helicopter extraction; early extraction opens after two failed waves.

Survival maps are Flooded, Lighthouse, and Night of the Living Dead. Raven Rock is the sixth Objective map. Official 1.0 notes · Raven Rock announcement

Before the ready check

  • Name a regroup landmark and one player who calls the next task.
  • Say which player carries task items and who watches reload/heal windows.
  • Agree on the condition that ends optional looting: infection, low medical supplies, repeated downs, or a completed objective.
  • Read the map page’s 1.0 changes section. Fixed routes and loot spots are intentionally omitted until current walkthrough evidence can verify them.

Shared map rhythm

Objective: protect the task, then reset

Objective missions are large maps with staged, linear CRC tasks. The dependable pattern is to name the active interactor or carrier, clear only the space needed for that task, then stop after completion to count people and supplies. A new task is not a signal for every player to search independently. Official launch overview

Use the live objective log when a scenario differs from a video or memory. This hub records confirmed 1.0 changes on individual pages, but it does not publish fixed item locations, room-by-room routes, or “best” holds without two current independent walkthrough sources.

Survival: spend the reset before the next wave

The official Survival overview describes a preparation phase, speaker defense, and three-wave structure. After a successful wave, use the brief reset to repair the weakest part of the team plan: low ammunition, a missing lane, an unsafe rotation, or a player who needs to change jobs. A supply drop is strongest when it fixes that shared problem, not when it becomes a private upgrade. Official Survival overview

If this happens Objective response Survival response
A player is low on supplies Stop before the next task and decide whether to continue or extract. Spend the between-wave reset on the lane or player that would break first.
The route becomes confusing Regroup, read the current log, and move only on one named call. Return to the speaker plan and keep a rotation route open.
Infection or repeated downs change the risk End optional looting and choose the safest viable exit. Consider the early-extract boundary after two failed waves.
