Broadway NMRiH2 Urban Map Guide
Broadway demands calm communication. The map’s urban pressure makes it easy for one player’s rushed decision to pull the entire squad into a difficult encounter.
Make space for the squad
Clear one choke point at a time
Avoid blocking doorways and narrow passages. Let the team know before crossing a choke point, and give anyone who is reloading or using an item time to finish before pushing onward.
Control the pace
The correct speed is the one that keeps every player informed. Slow down after a noisy engagement, take stock of supplies, and decide the next move together.
Adapt without splitting
If the route changes, change it as a group. A short detour with everyone present is safer than a fast shortcut taken alone.
1.0 update
The 1.0 release added a Diner rooftop shortcut and adjusted several spaces, including the train extraction platform, Courthouse C4 spacing, and Movie Theatre flow. Official 1.0 notes
Push checklist
- Treat the Diner shortcut as an option, not an automatic solo flank: announce it before using it.
- Before Courthouse or Theatre progress, clear a reload/heal window and identify the player taking the interaction.
- At train extraction, call the whole squad forward instead of assuming players can recover from the previous block.
The platform, C4 spacing, and theatre flow changed in 1.0, so pre-1.0 route advice may be obsolete. Official 1.0 notes
Urban push protocol
Move at the rear player’s pace
Broadway’s 1.0 changes affect the Diner rooftop shortcut, train extraction platform, Courthouse C4 spacing, and Movie Theatre flow. Treat each transition as a place for a short ready check: who is interacting, who is watching the rear, and whether everyone has completed reloads or recovery. Official 1.0 notes
The goal is not to declare a fixed “safe” urban path. It is to keep line of sight and a shared pace when the route tightens or a player has to finish an action.
| Trigger | Conservative response |
|---|---|
| A shortcut becomes available | Announce it and move as a group; do not make it a solo flank. |
| A choke point is blocked | Let reloads, healing, and the rear catch up before crossing. |
| Objective progress changes | Name the new interactor and suppress optional searches. |
| Extraction is available | Count the full squad before moving to the platform. |
